Bailey St. Park – (County) 1304 Bailey St.

Bailey Street Park is a gathering place where the community can cool off on a hot day in the pool or enjoy some time running free in the greenspace. A public art project added a mural depicting a tropical oasis.

EE Moore Park – 906 Tommy Kennedy Cir.

E.E. Moore Park has a sprawling outdoor play place with a variety of playground equipment set up under the shade of Southern pine trees. The park also features basketball courts, a gazebo and plenty of greenspace on which to run or host a family reunion.

Northside Park – 1428 Thomas St.

Picnic tables, a slide, swings, see saws, and other playground equipment are key features at Northside Park. A covered pavilion and plenty of room to run make it a great place to fill an afternoon with family fun.

Bazemore Park – Blackshear & Riverside Ave.

A nice walking trail park with various equipment for physical fitness.

Pernell Roberts/Mary St. Park – 30 Isabella St.

Nice large park in historic downtown Waycross. It features several pieces of playground equipment and a shelter for special occasions. Recently a splash pad was added to this beautiful park.

Doughboy Park – Mary St. and Plant Ave.

This park features a tribute to the World War 1 soldiers and a beautiful gazebo. The gazebo is often used as a set for weddings and photographs.

Phoenix Park – 215 Pendleton St.

This park is used for many downtown festivals and events. A great place for downtown visitors to relax.

Jack Williams Park – 30 Plant Ave.

Small park with a fountain and bench in the heart of downtown Waycross.

Plant Memorial Park / Veterans Memorial Park

Plant Park is a downtown plaza in the city’s historic district featuring a fountain built in 1879 and is one of the oldest municipal projects in Waycross.

Garlington Park – 1501 Georgia St.

A covered pavilion and grills make Garlington Park the perfect place for a family cookout. Throw some burgers on the grill and let the kids play on the playground and swing on the tire swing.

Monroe Park – 1211 Hill St.

This park features several pieces of playground equipment as well as a gazebo, which is perfect for small parties and family gatherings.

Tennis Court – 1200 Baltimore Ave.

A full tennis court for all local tennis enthusiasts. Grab your rackets and balls and enjoy a game!

New Town Park – 1515 Georgia Ave.

New Town Community Park features a covered pavilion with grills and picnic tables in a large, fenced greenspace. The modern playground equipment has all the fun features kids love.

Gilchrist Park – Gibbs St.

A covered gazebo and greenspace are accented by plenty of play places at Gilchrist Park. Seesaws, a jungle gym, swings, a modern playground, and more make Gilchrist a great place for a day with the family.

Memorial Park - Corridor Z (520)

Ware County’s Memorial Park is home to C.E. Davis Field, the site of many community events like Easter egg hunts, family movie nights, and more. The park includes a field as well as a playground and is a popular place for family gatherings and picnics.

Camellia Garden Club – Coral & Euclid Ave.- 30 Euclid Ave.

A quaint little park in the heart of this neighborhood. Features playground equipment and swings. 

Elizabeth Park – Howe St.

Elizabeth Park is a great place to enjoy a beautiful afternoon with the family. The kids can play for hours on the playground and swing set while parents can enjoy a book on the bench. There’s also plenty of room to run and an outdoor basketball court.

Tebeauville Park – Johanna St.

A small park in the center of this little neighborhood.

Bit Tanner Field – (BOE) 520 Harrison Street

This field is used for football games and practice, soccer games, and several community events such as the 4th of July Fireworks Celebration.

Walking Trail Pavilion – Carswell Ave.

A paved walking/jogging trail that loops through downtown Waycross.
